Please read these instructions and practice a few times before actually using the program. It can be a little bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang off it you'll wonder how you ever went without it.

Sessions

Starting a new session. The first thing that you must do when starting a session is to enter the session name in the Session Box and click on the save button directly above it. If you have autosave on at all times, you will never have to hit save again.

Loading an existing session. Click on the down arrow in the Session Box and select the name of the session. Click on that name and the file will open.

Setting the default Session. Click Setup on the far bottom right hand corner. Click the down arrow in the default session and select the session that you want to load each time Note Taker starts. Then click on save. If you already have a default session and you wish to erase it as the default session, highlight the name in the default session box and hit the Delete button or backspace key.

Phrases

Saving a set of Phrases. In the Phrase Box, type in the name of the phrase set and click on save directly below the box. REMEMBER autosave only works for the typing portion of your session and does not autosave your phrases. You must click on save after any changes if you want to keep them.

Loading Phrases. In the Phrase Box, click on the down arrow and selectthe name of the phrase set that you want to load.

Setting the default phrase set. Click on setup which is located on the bottom right hand corner. Click on the down arrow in the default session box. Click on the phrase set that you want to load each time Note Taker starts.

Adding a new phrase. Type in the phrase in the phrase box. To insert the phrase into the command button that you want, click on the command button selector adjacent to it.

SetUp

Accessing Setup. To access setup, click on the word setup located on the bottom right hand corner of the program.

SavingOnce you are done setting up Note Taker, click on Save to store the information. If you do not wish to save, then click on cancel. Either way, the program will revert to it's normal size.

Desription of Options.
Default Phrase - This is the Phrase set that will load up each time Note Taker is restarted. If you wish to have an empty phrase set, then leave this area blank.
Default Session - This is the session that will load up each tine Note Taker is restarted. If you wish to have nothing load, then leave this area blank.
Autosave - If this box is checked, then Note Taker will turn on Auto Save each time it is restarted. It can be turned off and on manually at anytime.

Typing

Autosave. Autosave automatically saves as you type when turned on. To turn autosave off and on, click on the check box next to the work autosave on the bottom of the screen. Saving your session. If autosave is turned off, click on the save button directly above the session box.

Inserting Phrases. Phrases can be inserted two ways. Either by clicking on the command button containing the phrase or by pressing the Alt key and the coresponding number in front of the phrase.

AutoSave

Using AutoSave. When autosave is on, Note Taker will save up to the second any changes made to your session.

Activating/Deactivating AutoSave. Click on the check box next to the word autosave in the bottom of the screen. If the box is checked then autosave is on.
